My significant other(SO) x step father , who is like a dad to my SO invited us over for Easter (the week after) for lunch at 1 pm we have 2 young children 8 and 5. Lunch and egg hunt . We arrive and nothing is prepared or ready , other invited family (exact same situation ..family of woman’s x , who had several young children. We were an hour late as the other family. Wife had nothing prepared then when us females arrived she immediately started choring out jobs for us females ONLY as her 30 year old single son had nothing to do but smoke week with the other men there. Personally I politely refused every task and walked outside to visit with the man we came to see, not his new wife. Finally food was actually served at 5pm as she called it lunch her son announced that 5 was in fact dinner time. This is the second time in a row this so called lunch went down like that. If you want me to cook your meal tell me beforehand and if I feel like doing it I will prepare it in MY kitchen . Everybody was tired after eating from the constant standing around and being told to put out the 100 eggs for the egg hunt . I think If you have a lunch party don’t make your guests do the work . The significant other thinks I simply JUST don’t like the woman, but I think these things speak higher volumes to me then most people see …
