Me and my friend got in an argument about the American political party. While both of us are Democrats, my friend supports Kamala almost fully, while I agree with Trump in some aspects. We just got in an argument about it- I will write the details below.

(For background information, I am currently in Washington and just toured all the memorials.)

I started off the argument saying all the memorials I’m seeing make me more republican. My friend answered this saying “If you turn republican while trump or maga is in power I'll leave you” (we are dating). I said trump is right in terms of how to deal with the wars that’s an are currently going on in the world. My friend then mentions he started a trade war and pissed off all our allies, to which I say I completely agree, but that it still doesn’t change the fact he is right, as these are all about his horrible economic laws and less how to deal with on violent wars and conflicts. I backed this with his response to the Israel-Hamas war, in which he reached a peace treaty (which is more than Biden did in his years helping Israel). I also gave the example of just how many people died in the Korean War that the US participated in, and how, while the US significantly contributed to the fight, South Korea’s borders remain challenged by North Korea (Around 36k Americans died in the war, with more than a million from other countries, but North Korea still exists and poses as a threat). My friend gave the situation in Ukrain as an example to back her own claim, saying that “If Russia gets Ukraine then Europe is in danger”, which I agreed with but said the danger is barely greater than the one Russia is currently posing the world. She said “if the US reduces aid to Ukraine then it should also reduce aid to Israel”, which I agreed with. I did say it makes sense for the US to aid Israel than Ukraine, but agreed that it should reduce aid to both. She brings up how Trump belittles Zelenskyy as well, and also how “Being the world police is what makes America a global power”. I agree that how Trump treated Zelenskyy was disgusting, but I also don’t think Ukraine is important enough to be sent billions of dollars and put the whole United States in billions of dept. She then said “Don't get fucking brainwashed by maga, you pmo, bye” in different texts. I replied that she’s the one brainwashed, and that Biden added billions to the national debt (again- Trump obviously added more and his economic policies are shit, but he added way less from ongoing wars. I didn’t mention that in the argument and only said Biden put the US at debt tho). To that she replied with “What the fuck have you been watching. What in the actual fuck have you been watching.” And said Trump is going to start wars because of his tarrifs. I replied that that’s cause he’s shit at economics.

OKAY KINDA BIASED SECTION BUT IT DID HAPPEN SO IMMA SAY IT HOW I THINK ABOUT IT BUT LIKE ITS BIASED She then said “I agree with needing to reduce foreign spending” which is legit the main point of my argument but okay. She followed this with “I think you're turning more and more maga. This is the limit of what is acceptable to agree with him in” which again like whathever but you are agreeing with him against Kamala which you called me MAGA for like tf.

Okay I was summarising the argument the first paragraph, but this was after my example of israel:

I said that the moment Trump came he did a peace treaty, and she said “Not everyone loves Israel as much as you do.” (I’m Israeli and support Israel”, then mentioned how many women and children died, and how I think it’s their fault just cause they support Hamas. She then said “You fucking disgust me you piece of shit”. I replied that that’s toxic af (“You’re actually so toxic I’m done”) and she said “if it makes you unhappy then fucking leave.”). She said I sounded like Trump (“Oh my god guys did you hear she called me a piece of shit”) to which I replied that she sounds like Trump, as he’s the one always “using violence and curses and threats”.

Now where we broke up. Following my statement, she said that I am perfectly able to leave if I’m unhappy. She then said she hopes I post this on Reddit, which we have done in the past for our other arguments (which is why I am posting it right now). I said “Got it I don’t wanna date you bye go fuck off”. She asked me for confirmation later, and I admitted I don’t want to, but I will if she keeps threatening me. She said she isn’t threatening me and that she only asked me if I wanted to, but that she expects me to follow through and to “grow a fucking spine”. I asked her if she wanted to and she said she “doesn’t factor into this”, and that I initiated the breakup. I told her I’m writing the Reddit but she said I’m gonna write it biased, so I asked her for input on it. She said “I'm not doing anything else with you unless you tell me if we're breaking up or not. I refuse to continue unless you tell me if we're breaking up or not”. I was in a movie and she texted me again if I wanted to break up, and after that I said I do. She then asked me if I’m sure. I told her why you doubting me and she said “I'm finished with you” and “I don’t wanna stay friends” when I asked about it. We didn’t text since.

This whole thing took maybe ten minutes of texting. This is my version of the events so it’s obviously going to be biased, but I’ll attach a screen recording in the comments so that you can understand the full thing. Who’s right?
