My husband and I have been together going on 13 years (October) and will be married 13 years next February. We are 16 years apart, so when we got married I was 26 and he was 42. We have had several ups and downs, yet everything has seemed to explode this year. I had been sober for 4 years (never had a drinking problem until I had gastric bypass and couldn't handle my alcohol anymore). Prior to me ever having a drinking problem, my husband could down vodka bottles daily. We keep having back and forth, mainly when he drinks. He finds any reason to start a fight. Tonight, I had give him my phone for Amazon orders and went about coloring my hair. I came back down and he is scrolling through my text and accused me of talking to other men because he didn't recognize the number or name. I just kinda stood there cause I didn't have anything hidden in my phone if I had why would I let him have it? So shit just kept going down and kept going down. He yelled at me that he was stuck with me because the house deed is in both our names and he knows I'll 'take' everything else. When I asked him why he would think that...his answer...because I like spending "his" money. Now this ugly comment came from him getting an inheritance from some family member. I didn't ask for any money (we no longer share a bank acct because he didn't want to). He told me to get xyz items off Amazon and I did. Our marriage has always had some issues, but it seems like anytime things are going well he finds a reason to start a fight. I also am not a emotional person, so if he does happen to make me cry he says it's "fake crocodile tears" when in fact...it's real. Name calling, putting down my intelligence, it's a day in and day out thing. So I'm asking AITAH because I have threatened divorce after he told me he was "stuck" with me. He doesn't speak to me most of the time. So tonight he started another fight, he was playing his video game (AC viking one) and after him putting me down, telling me I'm a child blah blah. He went to shower and said don't touch my game. Well I reset all his skills in his game and he lost it. Told me I was a child and petty. My mind is thinking how can I be that after what you said? I did say sorry, but felt like I shouldn't have.
