AITA? My boyfriend of a year told me he would be spending Easter with me and my relatives. It’s about a 2 hours away from where we live. I (22 female) found out my boyfriend (23 male) has a baseball tournament this weekend a week in advance. The team had to drive all the way to Michigan, and from where we live is about 13 hours away. I initially told him to skip out on my family Easter because it doesn’t make sense for him to come due to how much driving it would be for him. He insisted that he wanted to be with me and spend time with my family. Obviously I want to see him and spend the holiday with him so I left his decision at that. Now he tells me he can’t come anymore because of the timing. Am I the asshole for being frustrated and disappointed? I would have rather he say he wasn’t going to come when I gave him the out originally, now it gave me a false sense of hope. Not to mention his mother called me to tell me “she wants him home for Easter so I need to talk to him about it.” Which frankly I think is none of her business. We are adults and are able to make our own choices. I just want some advice. I just feel so frustrated, let down and sad. #aita
