📝 AITA for accepting a job I technically wasn’t qualified for?

So, last year I married my husband. When he proposed to me, he said he wanted me to quit my job as a flight attendant as it wasn’t “suitable for a married lady” (funny, since it was through my job as a flight attendant that we got to meet in the first place). I said okay, but you have to find me some other job since I’d get crazy bored staying at home 24/7. He said of course.

He gets me a job as an English teacher at a prestigious local international school. Usually, the main requirements are: 1. At least a bachelor’s degree in English (or something similar/related). 2. Be a native English speaker. 3. Have a bit of prior experience teaching English. Didn’t have any, but my husband put in a word for me and I got hired.

I love this job and always try my best. I have a private tutor who helps me better understand the language in detail & I also get English teaching training on the side. I’ll well-liked by my students and classes go smoothly.

Recently, a coworker has subtly implied that I only got the job due to who my husband is & I’m a bit of an asshole for accepting it since an “actually qualified” person could’ve taken the spot. I personally don’t think I’m an asshole.
