Hello everyone! I apologize in advance if this story feels over-dramatic: I can get very anxious in social settings, and my judgment can often be impaired.

It's been a really long week of studying for me (F22), and I decided to go to Moe's for some pick-me-up dinner. So, I went to Moe's about an hour ago to pick up some dinner. I had a coupon that said, "BOGO, Any item up to $20". For those of you who may not be familiar with Moe's, it's essentially the same set-up as Chipotle. With my coupon, I intended to buy one entree (chicken bowl) and one bowl of guacamole, and I had assumed the bowl of guacamole would be free. When I got to the register, I began to show the cashier my coupon, but she refused to even look at the coupon, and she said, "That's only for burritos and bowls. You can't use that for the guacamole."

I was a little confused, and I started to ask a question to clarify my understanding of the deal, but she interrupted me by saying, "Burrito with burrito, or bowl with bowl. You can't use that for the guacamole."

At this point, my heart had already dropped to my stomach because it was coming out to be around $25, where I had originally been prepared to pay around $14. (I'm a student, please be kind!)

In response, I said, "I'm sorry for asking, but is it too late to put the guacamole back?" She responded by telling me that she wouldn't be able to do it. After she said this, I accepted that I would need to pay for the guacamole, but I also asked if it would be okay for me to get another entree (chicken bowl) so that I could still use the deal in some way. She let out a big sigh and asked if I really wanted another bowl. I said, "Yes, sorry." Then, she sighed again, and she asked to see the code. Once she put the code in the system, the display showed that my coupon did work, and my guacamole was free. I didn't end up getting a second entree, and I paid for my one entree with a free bowl of guacamole (as I had originally assumed) by using the code.

AITA for asking for another bowl at the register? I understand that I had already reached the register, but there was only one other person waiting in line behind me, and they weren't ready to pay yet. I'm sorry again if this sounds dramatic, as I can get very stressed out in public, especially in these scenarios. I'm still shaking haha. I would appreciate your thoughts!
