This might be embarrassing but i feel like such a loser rn. I (23f) work in a restaurant with coworker X (25m) for about 2 years. X is a seemingly really nice guy, and definitely gets the attention of many of the girls at work. Hes really not that cute but hes the cutest there if that makes sense to anyone haha. So when i first started he would go out of his way to talk to me everyday, and seemed really interested in me. A while after he gave me his number and we started texting here and there. This escalated so much that other coworkers were saying he really liked me. He continuously would ask me to come to his house late at night, and although it’s tempting im not really into hooking up like that so id always make an excuse not to. This is where it gets kinda weird. The one night he came out with me and my friends to a bar. He sat next to me and we talked for a while before he asked me to go smoke with him in his car. I agreed and we talked for a while then went inside. He offered to drive me home or take me back to his house but once again i declined. Then when we got to work he told everyone that he was there for my other friend that he didnt even talk to and “not to tell me bc i wouldn’t like that”. I obviously backed off after that because i was kinda weirded out by the situation. I few months later somehow we ended up on a phone call. We click so well and have so much in common our calls would last like 6+ hours without it feeling like that long at all. We had a few weeks where these calls ended up happening every night and almost always hed ask me to come over. Hed talk about my body and how much he wanted me in his bed and stuff like that. Then he would text me things like “i like the thought of you naked” “i wish you were in my bed” saying we should shower tg all kinds of pervy stuff haha. I would always brush it off bc i know thats how he is but I kinda convinced myself to let go a little. This continued until about 3 days ago. So yesterday i texted him that we should chill after i got off work. No response… so i ignored it and went to work td. He barely talked to me. I texted him after work to see if everything was alright, and he said it was fine and we started chatting. I decided to try to flirt a little bc i usually dont flirt back, and he like seemed confused. Then he basically said he didnt mean to give me the wrong impression but hes not interested in me that way. I actually am gagged bc this man has been talking about me naked more than anyone has in my entire life. Am i crazy or something. Part of me feels like he does this bc i declined him so many times but when i tell you he said “he has other females on his mind” i have no words im like so embarrassed rn can someone tell me if im crazy.

TLDR: my coworker has been flirting with me every night and when i finally flirt back he rejected me am i crazy
