I have a 10 year old nephew that has developed an obsession with raves, hardstyle, techno ect. His mum (my older sister) absolutely hates anything of that nature. She always judged me for liking the music and going to raves saying it gives her a “head ache”.

My nephew is like my little bestfriend. He always sleeps over and calls me the “cool auntie”. Anyways since he comes over often he’s heard the music i play and liked it. When i would drive him around he would ask me to play it. I obviously only played songs with no explicit language and showed him videos of raves i’ve been too. He liked the lasers and light shows.

Anyways my sister and her husband are pretty strict and religious. They encourage them to only listen to cultural and religious songs.

My sister called me asking why her 10 year old is watching rave livestreams on youtube and blasting the music in his room. I tried to explain it wasn’t that deep it’s just music. It’s not like i showed him gang affiliated rap or something.

Anyways she made a new rule that we aren’t allowed to listen to it together anymore.

Look i respect her decision, she is the parent.

He is devastated tho :(
