I am an older sister to my brother and being born in an Asian family, the younger always gets more preferred and is the favorite. That being said, whenever we get gifted some snacks or food, my brother always gets the first preference. He is a picky eater and mainly likes junk food, snacks and populartasty food. I eat almost anything but obviously I prefer junk food and tasty food. Today, my grandmother bought biryani today and I was in my room when she came. When I went to eat, my brother had taken all of it in his plate and was eating happily. When I asked why he didn't leave any for me, my mom said that my brother anyway does not like the dinner she made today so let him eat all of it. She said I do like the food she made for dinner so I can have that. I felt really upset that not only my mom never told him to leave me some but also that my brother also did not ask me if I wanted any. After I got upset, that is when my brother asked me if I wanted some. I obviously said no as I did not want it out of pity and also he had already taken all of it in his plate. Should I just learn to let it go and be happy because I do infact like the dinner mom made or is it correct for me to get upset?
