So this started a couple of months ago. There’s a girl — let’s call her Naomi. One day, I was walking past her in the hallway with one of my friends (we’re all in choir together), and I heard Naomi say, “I don’t like her.” I wasn’t 100% sure she meant me, so I didn’t react right away. I don’t like jumping to conclusions, so I let it go.

Fast forward a bit: I found out Naomi had been going to my friend’s place to get her nails done, and during one of those visits, she was talking trash again — this time directly mentioning my name, saying she didn’t like me. My friend actually stood up for me and told her, “Hey, that’s my friend, don’t talk about her like that.” After that, Naomi stopped going to her for nails.

Eventually, I got tired of hearing all this from other people. So I confronted Naomi and asked, “Why do you keep talking crap about me?” And she started acting clueless, like she had no idea what I was talking about. I told her, “Say what you need to say now, or forever hold your peace.” She replied, “I’ll forever hold my peace.”

Yeah, I was heated when I confronted her. I know I vented and said a lot. But I was just tired of hearing from my friends that she keeps talking bad about me behind my back. It was getting out of hand.
