I know that title sounds SO dumb. But I guess theres some context, me and my boyfriend have a really great relationship and there aren’t a lot of problems at all. But it’s really bugging me that he doesnt compliment me a lot, he will say I look nice if i say i dont like something about myself, but my problem is that a lot of his compliments have to be provoked. I dont know if im expecting too much off of him by asking, but ive literally basically begged him to, and he doesnt really have any excuse. I dont think im ugly either, I have been asked out by quite a few people and been told im attractive by people when im out. He says he thinks im pretty but then doesnt really tell me. I dont know if im being insecure as I kinda grew up ugly, but it really bothers me that he doesnt look at me immediately and think ‘omg shes so fit’. Its actually started to make me feel really ugly and ive TOLD him this. No matter how many times i literally beg him to compliment me he never takes initiative, Im not sure what I should do. I honestly think its annoying him a lot that I ask because ill bring it up every few weeks, but its such a solveable issue!! Everything else in our life is great, its just his issue with complimenting me. Anybody know what I should do/say to make him compliment me? Or should I try working on how I view myself, because maybe thats the actual problem.
