My (17f) friend, Sofia (17f) has a long distance boyfriend who she met on TikTok a few months ago. At first I didn't really mind it as she's had boyfriends before and it was fine, but then I started worrying due to a few factors. For starters, She has never seen him in person (apparently he lives on the other side of the country, so it would be inconvenient for both of them), and he has sent one photo of himself that he told her to delete as soon as it was sent (seems weird, why would he do that?). This raises the concern for me that he's catfishing her and may be much older than he's stating or something like that. The other main thing that really bothers me is that Sofia was crying on the to me over call because he had body-shamed her and called her overweight and stubby. (Sofia is 5'4 and she's quite fit, so I genuinely don't get where he got that from). That blew it, I don't care if he is actually who he says, and I told Sofia I really didn't think it was a good idea for her to stay with him as I felt she was missing so many red flags and she absolutely blew up at me, and wouldn't talk to me at all today. I asked my sister what I should do, and she told me it's Sofia's business, that I'm possibly overthinking it and that I shouldn't butt in it. Now I kinda feel horrible, but I'm still extremely concerned for Sofia. AITA?
