I (17F) got mad at my sister (19F) for giving me advice I never asked for in the first place. The backstory behind this, is: I am currently participating in duel enrollment and have been since I've started high-school. I technically should've graduated this year, but I decided that I still wanted to graduate high-school when I'm officially 18. (Yes I did graduate college already, ik its confusing). Anyways, my sister also did something similar and she was the main reason why I even wanted to do it in the first place. My problem here is that a couple days ago I was chilling in the kitchen when my sister walked in and started asking me why im still choosing high-school over the college degree I currently have. I briefly explained that it's because it's my choice if I still want to continue high-school, and that depending on what the county wants, I HAVE to finish to get my high-school diploma when everyone else does. She didn't take me seriously and told me that I'm "wasting time" and that "if she was me, she'd would've already been done". I told her it was easy for her to say that considering she's already graduated twice from both high-school and college (combined). She then proceeded to give me advice and basically told me what to do with my life. I don't have a job yet nor do I plan on getting one until I finish high-school, so she took this as an opportunity to tell me that I "need to get a life if I wanted to ever do anything other then lay in books all day". Normally I wouldn't have that big of an issue but the problem is I think she might be right. But at the time I totally went off on her and left the room. We haven't talked since and I think I may be the A-hole here. Can somebody tell me if I should apologize or js keep doing me? Reddit, AITA?
