I (16F) liked this guy (17M) that was close with one of my best friends (16F). I told her about the situation and she told me that he was heartbroken over one of my ex-friends (16F). Now, my best friend (who has a history of lying) is telling me to not go for him, and is trying to convince to him to get back with my ex-friend, who she doesn't like either. AITA for wishing that my best friend would have convinced him to get with me instead?
