My teacher's daughter is 22 and I'm 25, my teacher was poor and he was a single father and he and his daughter lived on rent, his daughter worked part time but after my teacher died she can no longer afford to pay rent, food etc so I offered her to live with me for as long as she wants and I told her that I'll help her.

I don't want to into details but I'm comfortable for my age because of him and without his guidance I wouldn't be where I am right now, I'm not rich but I don't have wife or kids so I'm comfortable and I helped him financially with my own money as much as I could.

He died to heart attack 2 weeks ago and I'm broken and miss him cause he was a father to me, but his daughter was struggling, her pain is far more than what I'm going through, I invited her in my house and fed her and supported her as much as I could.

When she told me that she doesn't know what she's going to do without her father and she can't afford rent and food I asked her to live with me in my house and I'll help her, she refused at first but when I kept insisting she agreed.

We have been living together since past week and I'm doing my best to help her, obviously I'm not asking her for money and I wouldn't accept but she's cry, she cries so much and she misses her father and she also hugs me and cries.

But now her family mostly her grandma and cousins are saying that I'm taking advantage of my teacher's daughter because she's vulnerable and I shouldn't let her live with me because they think I have ulterior motives.

I havent told her what her family said because I don't want to hurt her and I didn't talk to her family either yet but I want to ask them if they would take care of her if I kick her out or let her live with them?

I think it's more important that she has a roof over her head and her stomach full but in case if I'm in the wrong I don't know what to do here and I think what they are trying to say is accusing and disgusting.
