About a year ago me and my "bestfriend" decided to be roommates and so me 35m and him 34m and his girlfriend 28f and his son 8m moved in together. All the adults agreed it would be 50/50 as far as bills and rent went and we would split the cost of the car payment and insurance. But to my shock I ended up paying all the bills all the rent and all the car insurance so they're only paying the car payment which is 550$ a month while I pay everything else which comes to 2,027$ if I round down on all the bills. On top of this I have to buy all my own food cause I refuse to buy groceries now cause they will make food for dinner and save me nothing and will let me starve so I stopped buying groceries since then they just go out to fast food places all the time and i just buy food for me that I eat privately in my room but I still share with the 8 year old cause it's not his fault. Also i found out from the girlfriends sisters, mom and friends that she has been saying terrible things about me to them so I recently decided to move by myself so will i be an asshole if I leave without telling them until a week before hand? I'm just tired of feeling like an atm and getting no help all so I can use a friend's car to get to work and befor anyone asks my " bestfriend" got fired a couple of weeks after he moved in and hasn't worked since and his girlfriend makes the same amount as I do we both make 22$ an hour so they as a couple should be able to pay there half in my opinion I know there is costs for the child and I would help with that if they were doing there part. I guess I just feel used and want to leave honestly but don't want to even try discussing it with them cause over the last year everytime I try to talk to them about paying there part I am the bad guy and they scream at me and wanna argue and try to convince me that I'm the asshole so I'm bringing this to yall internet strangers and asking AITA?
