📝 AITA for leaving a bad review after thing ended on a “good note”?

Long story short I’ve been working with a business for about a year on an important admin case. I paid thousands of dollars upfront and expected them to handle it. It wasn’t until 3 months past that I found out they hadn’t even started. From here I decided to be a little more involved, explained my issues with communication, wanting updates and wanting to be involved, multiple times. The issues still continued and whenever I questioned it he gave some excuse and since they were the expert I just accepted it. So the case was lost and ended up costing me $15,000 more through no fault of my own, yet he also refused to take any blame for his short comings.

I didn’t get angry or anything, shook his hand smiled and said “Hey it is what it is, I’ll figure something out”

A few weeks later they sent me the closing documents…along with someone else’s documents complete with their info. I had already written a bad review but was on the fence about submitting it but at this point I sent a very detailed one and gave a one star.

The next morning both the person I worked with and the owner contacted me asking to speak because they were unsure what the issue was and everything seemed fine when we last spoke

AITA
