Okay so I (24F) have been dating my bf (27M) for like 6 months and things have been pretty chill. He’s always been kinda "go with the flow" and I'm more of a planner but whatever. So a few days ago he texts me saying he wants to take me out to dinner, just the two of us, to “celebrate us.” Cute right?

So I get dressed up, do my makeup, put on heels even tho I HATE heels, and I get to the restaurant (he picked a pretty expensive place too). But when I show up, he's already there… with 6 of his friends. Like, ALL guys. No warning, no “hey hope you don’t mind,” nothing.

I was confused and lowkey annoyed but I tried to be polite. Then we order food, drinks, the whole table is vibing, and I’m just sitting there like a 7th wheel. THEN the bill comes. And my bf goes “babe you got this right?” Like FULL ON expecting me to pay for the whole table. Like $300+.

I laughed because I thought he was joking but nope. He was dead serious. Said since I make more money than him and he invited me out to celebrate us, it would be "sweet" if I treated his friends too. I was like... wtf??

So I told the waiter I’d just pay for my meal and left. He’s been texting me nonstop saying I embarrassed him and made him “look broke” in front of his friends. His friends are calling me petty and a b**ch for walking out.

I don’t even know what he told them but now I’m being called toxic and selfish by like 3 of them. My friends are on my side tho.
