Please excuse my horrible grammar in this post. I’m a freshman in high school and i have this friend group that my best friend is in, because i don’t really have any other friends i hang out with them during lunch and stuff. There has been a little drama since i joined the friend group because i’m not close with any of the people there expect one person. everyone else i’m friendly to but it isn’t like we’re close at all. it’s kind of known that i don’t really like sitting there because again i am not close with any of them but one. so a month or two ago i made a comment on a tiktok that basically said i’ve considered hiding in the bathroom rather than sitting with them at lunch. i made the comment and totally forgot about it afterwards until yesterday one of the girls from my friend group saw it. she responded to the comment and just said “hmm 🤔”. i don’t know what to do, any advice would appreciated. i know that it’s not really fair to everyone else because our personalities don’t mesh, it’s not like they’re mean to me or anything but i don’t feel like i’m apart of the friend group and i’m not really interested in being apart of it. my best friend has know two of the other people there since the 3rd grade and still gets along pretty well with the other 2. i don’t want to make my best friend feels like she’s picking between me and everyone else.
