So I was walking my dog outside and a random woman says how cute the dog is.

I warned her not to get too close to my dog cause he tends to jump at people and the dog ended up tugging at her dress. Like shaking his head furiously while holding onto the hem of her dress.

She seemed shocked but stayed calm and I tried to pull the leash to get him off her.

My dog ended up ripping a good chunk of her dress off. The woman was upset and said “why didn’t you control the dog!”

I told her that I literally warned her and that my dog will jump. The woman started yelling at me going “your dog fucking ripped my dress! What the fuck?! You can’t even pull your dog off of me! You’ll pay for my dress!”

I told her that I fucking warned her and that her dress is not my responsibility. I told her that she shouldn’t have gotten too close and that I was simply walking my dog outside and I yelled at her for not listening to me. So we argued on the sidewalk for a while until she just walked off cursing.

I told my friends about me but they said I was in the wrong for not reacting fast enough or moving the dog away. But I don’t know. I did warn the woman to be careful and that my dog jumps. I do feel bad about what happened now. My dog is a larger breed :(
