I (F21) have plans to travel across the country to stay with my friend for a few weeks. My parents are demanding (not asking) that I change those plans to stay home with my 17 year old brother for 2 nights/3 days while they’re away. He’s a good kid and definitely responsible enough to be alone on his home, and we also have relatives that live down the street from us in case of an emergency. AITA for refusing my parents orders?
