I (21F) work full time and take classes online. My weekends are literally the only time I get to rest. My older sister (28F) has moved three times in the past two years - usually last minute, always chaotic, and always expects the whole family to drop everything and help.
Last Friday, she texted me saying she "needed all hands on deck" Saturday morning at 8AM. I told her I couldn't - I had laundry, homework, and just needed a break. She flipped out. Said I was selfish, ungrateful, and that "family shows up".
I reminded her I've helped her move twice already, and both times she didn't even say thank you. She replied: "Wow. Just wait until you need help someday".
My mom thinks I should've just gone to keep the peace. But I'm exhausted from always being the one who drops everything.
AITAH for finally saying no?
