I (26F) have a person (let's name her Jane) who I used to be close with. We went a few months without talking but she came to me to talk about our issues in our friendship and hash it out. She invited me to her baby shower after our talk.

This past Saturday was her baby shower. A mutual friend(let's name her Leah)of ours was going and I decided not to go, due to her not going to mine, she was out of the state but also knew in advance. I told Leah if Jane asks why didn't I go to call me. Well at some point Jane calls and text me, but I didn't answer her phone call. I texted her back saying "I couldn't answer". I'm tired of hanging and dealing with fake people.

So AITA for not going to the baby shower?
