Mobile and bad english!

Basically, i(M22) work and my GF(F23) doesn't, when she can't afford to come and see me i send some money, we don't live in the same city.

We generally meet once a week and were about to meetup about to weeks ago. She told me she had no money, i said i did but couldnt really spend it (basically my transportation money to go to work), i apologized and felt bad, even sent her the money still, but she sent it back and told me it was ok.

The next day she got mad, told me im not (never was apparently) putting much effort to see her, don't value her, she was the only one putting effort to see me and that i could borrow money from my parents or sister and still see her. Im not a fan of asking for money, but i can see where she's coming from, this is something i could've done and i apologized for that.

Now she says that if i want to see her, i will need to send her the money until she gets a job.

Honestly, the thought of asking for money never crossed my mind, which makes me feel bad and in the wrong. But i think that her words were very harsh and not true at all. I love her to death, love spending time and talking with her, buy gifts etc... It seems like she's punishing me.

Now she's cold and distant and im just sad. AITA?
