I know how this sounds but hear me out.

So I (22F) went on a packed tube and I sat next to the doors. Beside me sat a woman (approx mid 30s). At the next stop a pregnant lady got on the tube. She was wearing an oversized top. The woman beside me noticed her belly a second before I did and quickly offered her seat, before I got the chance to say anything. So hearing that I obviously when back to doing what I was doing because the pregnant lady now had a seat.

This is the part that confused me. The women who offered her seat then turns to me and says - with an attitude - “Are you not getting up?”.

See I have a very expressive face, especially when I’m confused or genuinely trying to understand something and in this moment I was trying to figure out who the hell she thought she was talking to and also what the hell just happened.

So I reply “What?” She quickly gathered her things and stood up for the lady - like she had already offered to do. Then she made a snarky comment about people not moving from priority seats.

Bear in mind this women does not know my medical history and she was also in a priority seat.

The whole interaction took place before the tube doors had even closed.

AITA
