My wife (32f) and I (34m) moved to a major city 7 years ago, and all of her good friends are back home (12 hours away). She really wanted friends she could see more often in person. When we got here she started using Bumble BFF to make new friends. Fast forward to now, she made some decent connections and I played along, BUT now all of the friends she made here have moved away….and shes back to bumble BFF. When she started using it again I made it clear that I did not want to get dragged along to make friends with yet another couple. I don’t like making friends over social platforms, it feels forced and I’m never truly myself. Anyway, she’s made another friend, they’ve been hanging out for months now, and even though I begged not to be included, we did a double date. The other husband and I have a bit in common, and shared some laughs but for me it was business as usual. My wife is now trying to hang out with said couple multiple weekends in a row and I’m not having it. We saw them last weekend (what was supposed to be a couple hours turned into an entire night of drinking), and now I’m being told I’m an asshole because I don’t care if ever see them again. So tell me, AITA?!?!
