I haven't had much of a relationship with my mom. Growing up, she was never really there for me. She was always absent, emotionally distant, and left me to figure things out on my own. As I got older, I stopped expecting anything from her and just learned to move on.

Recently, she got sick and reached out, saying she wanted to reconnect. She apologized for everything and wants to make things right. I’m conflicted, though. Part of me feels like it’s too little, too late. She was never around when I needed her, and I’ve built my life without her. I don’t know if I can just forgive and forget.

So, AITA for not wanting to rekindle a relationship with her now that she’s sick?
