📝 AITA for not wanting to visit a former university mate who was abused, despite others planning to go?

When I was in university, there was this female course mate who did not like me and somehow, it rubbed on her best friend too in the same course. I have no idea why she didn't like me and I never bothered to ask. But she would always make snide comments about me every time she could, mostly behind my back. I avoided her and her friend and didn't maintain any form of communication with her.

We graduated and now, a few years later, I found out through our alumni WhatsApp group that she has been a victim of domestic violence (physical) from her boyfriend to the extent that it escalated to the recent one, where she was hospitalised with severe bruises on her face and body and several broken bones. The group members planned a hospital visit and I refused to go, citing our prior differences, which many of them know about. Now they are displeased with me to the extent I was ejected from the group, in their words, 'for not supporting our friend'. AITAH?
