What’s up Reddit! How we all feeling today?? Anywhoo.. I need to give a bit of background before we get into the topic at hand. My wife (56F) has been nagging me (43M)about having fun at the dinner table for about 20 years now, but a recent event sent me over the edge. A few nights ago at family dinner, my son (15M) refused to eat his peas, and my wife made an exception for him, telling him he only had to eat one more spoonful of peas and he can be done. Well guess what? I DON’T MUCH LIKE PEAS EITHER. I begged my wife to make a compromise for me as-well so I didn’t have to eat anymore shitty peas, but all she did was tell me I’m a “grown man” and I need to start “acting like it” so I started to flick peas at her while she wasn’t looking. My son mimicked my behavior and threw a handful of mashed potatoes at my wife, “nice one!” I exclaimed, but my wife didn’t like that… not one bit. My wife reached into her drawls and whipped out divorce papers and SLAMMED them on the dinner table, “order up” she quipped. I couldn’t believe it, she was threatening to divorce ME over something as simple as father and son bonding time??? She said I was being an “asshole” and that I’ve been grooming my son to become a mini-me for 15 years. I don’t see anything wrong with having a son like me though, I mean I’m awesome!! Anyways, what do you guys think I should do? Also, am I the asshole in this situation?? I personally don’t believe I’m the asshole, because I was just trying to make family dinner fun!

GEORGE GONZALEZ OUT!
