Burner account for this one, my name is George Rodriguez, I'm 39 years old, and I live in rural Illinois with my wife (27F) and our son (12M). For some background, I've always been considered a picky eater and prefer to eat chicken McNuggets from McDonald's over almost anything else. Since we got married, my wife has been trying hard to get me to eat her home-cooked meals, but I usually end up spitting them out and asking for McDonald's instead.
A few days ago, on my birthday, instead of getting me McDonald's as I expected, she made homemade carne asada… “carne-awhata???” I thought. I felt betrayed, cried, and spat out the food until she gave in and got me McDonald's. This has become a pattern… sometimes she even tries to spoon-feed me her cooking, but I reject it and cry until I get my McNuggets.
Recently, she served me with divorce papers, saying it's because I 'act like a child.' I don’t think that’s fair—I have a 12-year-old son, so I know what childish behavior looks like, and this isn’t it! AITA?"
