As the title says. Got asked this stupid question by my family after a few drinks at a dinner - who I'd rather save if I had to. I, stupidly, answered, with my best friend. Now people are pissed and stepdad is 'hurt'. FMI my stepdad has been around since I was 8 (I'm 31 now) and in all that time we've never developed a solid relationship and I honestly can say most of the time I dislike the guy. My best friend has been around since uni, and he feels like family to me.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to AITA but I just want to make sure...
