So a group of four of us went to hibachi. In the other party there is a guest with a seafood allergy which of course we knew nothing of. I ordered shrimp and scallops like I do every time I go there. They then proceed to cook all of the seafood at once so they can clean the grill which means by the time I would get my rice or veggies the protein would be cold. I’m sorry but Cole shrimp with hot veggies. I asked why he would do it that way and not the end. He gave some excuse about I couldn’t at this grill because xy reason. At this point I’m just done. My SO pretty much dismissed me saying not to pay me any mind. Then the couple with the allergy were staring and snickering. I wasn’t even being rude or anything. I just asked a question then I said I don’t want my food anymore you can just put it in a box and I’ll take it to go. After I saw them snickering I got up and just sat in the car for the rest of the dinner. I only did this because I felt embarrassed and I didn’t want my shitty attitude to mess with their evening. Was I being the asshole by not wanting my food and asking for a box instead?
