I (22F) have a friend, let's call her "Emily" (23F), who has been in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend "Chris" (24M) for about 4 years. Recently, Emily confessed to me that she cheated on Chris with someone at her work. She told me it was a one-time mistake and that it didn’t mean anything, but she's scared to tell him because she doesn't want to lose him.

I’ve been friends with Emily for years, and I care about her deeply. But now, I find myself in this position where I’m stuck between supporting her and trying to convince her to do the right thing.
