Been seeing this guy for about 5 months and I waited a day to respond when he took two days to tell me that he was sick. Should I have responded earlier or was it okay that I matched his response time? Here’s a timeline of our messages

Tuesday 12:30 p.m. – Him: “Would you still like to hang tmrw?”

Tuesday 2:08 p.m. – Me: “Hey, I realized Friday would work better. Would that be cool with you? Would still love to see you.”

Thursday 7:16 p.m. – Him: “Hey, sorry for not getting back to you. I’ve been sick since yesterday. I’ll let you know if I feel better soon 🙇🏻‍♂️”

Friday 4:05 p.m. – Me: “Oh no, I’m sorry you’re not feeling well. Rest up and take care. Let me know if you need anything 🫶”

He hasn’t responded to my last message but it’s not unlike him to take a bit to respond (we both can be slow texters) though I was expecting him to “like” my message or acknowledge it in some way.
