πŸ“ AITA for telling my cousin she can't bring her kids to my wedding after I already said yes?

Hey everyone. So I (31F) am getting married next month to my fiancΓ© (33M) and we've been planning this thing for over a year. We initially decided on a child-free wedding except for my sister's kids because they're in the wedding party.

My cousin Amy texted me 6 months ago asking if her kids (7 & 9) could come because she couldn't find childcare for the weekend. I was stressed with planning and just said "fine whatever" without really thinking about it.

Fast forward to last week - my venue coordinator called saying we're at max capacity and can't add ANY more people. I realized Amy's kids put us over the limit, so I called and told her the kids can't come after all.

Amy FLIPPED OUT saying I promised, her kids are excited, and it's too late to find a sitter. She told the whole family I'm playing favorites because my sister's kids get to come. Now my aunt (her mom) is calling me an asshole and saying I should uninvite some of my friends instead.

Thing is, we're paying like $200 per plate and I barely see Amy's kids maybe once a year. My sister's kids are my niece and nephew who I see weekly. Plus they're actually IN the wedding.

My fiancΓ© says I should stand my ground but now half my family is pissed. I feel bad about going back on what I said, but also feel like Amy is being entitled expecting me to change my whole seating plan or uninvite actual friends for kids who won't even remember this.

AITA for changing my mind?
