I (21F) was at the mall recently and went into one of those trendy fast fashion stores that only carries sizes up to M, even though the M is basically an XS in disguise. I’m NOT AT ALL huge or anything, but I’m definitely not a stick, (plump and curvy and delicious) so I don’t usually find things that fit me there.
I saw this cute top and, yeah, I kind of knew it wouldn’t fit, but I decided to try it on anyway. I had a full face of makeup on, including foundation and setting spray (not that it helped like i thought it would’ve), and when I took the top off, I noticed a bit of transfer on the inside collar…
It’s not like I did it on purpose, but also… it’s kind of annoying that these stores don’t cater to anyone above a size 4 ( it’s their fault) so if the top ends up with a little foundation mark and a size 0 girl can’t wear it to Coachella, is that really the worst thing in the world?
My friend said I’m being petty and ruining clothes out of spite, but I GENUINELY just wanted to try it on—and if a little makeup gets on it, that’s just part of shopping.
AITA?
