ok so a couple days ago i was asked to prom over text by a boy i’ve hardly ever talked to and the only reason i have talked to him is because of an afterschool event. when he asked, i was confused because it was so random but i accidentally opened the message and was forced to reply, so i said “sure but can we talk about it more.” after saying yes, he asked me out on a date and i also said yes, but now i’m totally regretting everything. every text he sends just makes my eyes roll and ignoring all the issues group-wise for prom that this would cause, i’m simply not interested in him AT ALL. but i already said yes to prom and the date. i’m really dreading this date and my friend keeps telling me to go into it with an open mind but just texting him feels like a chore. EDIT: i will have to see him a couple more times outside of school because of out afterschool thing
