Hi everyone! I’m wanting to get an outside perspective on a situation that happened tonight.
My boyfriend plugged his AirPods in on Sunday night before bed and mentioned to me he wanted to make sure he started taking them to work, since he drives a lot and makes the time go by faster. On Monday morning before he left for work, I threw his AirPods into is work pants and told him that they were in his pants pockets. When he got to work later that day he said the AirPods case was there, but the actual buds were gone. I let him know I specifically remember them being in there and I checked. He was upset and said to not touch his AirPods anymore because then he “has no one to blame” for them being gone. The next day he went to work and someone had turned them in. He must have dropped them from his pants pocket on the floor and not noticed.
Forward to the end of the day, he came home from work (same day the AirPods were turned in) and he had the AirPods without the case laying in his work car. I picked them up, put them in his hand and said here you go so you can put them in the case inside the house. When we got in the house he said he needed his clothes washed for work tomorrow bc all his work clothes were dirty. I threw them in there and low and behold, the AirPods were in his pocket.
He was soooo angry and started calling me a “piece of shit” and that he would have to “start hiding his shit” from me because this is the “second time” I’ve done this. I got upset, and I said that he needs to stop because what happened on Monday was not even my fault and that he’s being disrespectful. He thinks I’m the asshole because I should “just say sorry”.
So, AITA?
Edit- they only went through the washer, not the dryer
