This was a good few years ago but I thought it's be a great Am I the Asshole story: At the time i was 22 y/o female with a best friend who had a long term relationship. But I covered for her like when her side puce got also fatally injured I covered for her so she went to see him. I admit I was a shit person then. But she was engaged around when I started dating my ex. He told me she made him uncomfortable but the next putting was her wedding. I asked my ex "are you comfortable if I sit down to see how she behaves" and he said yes to prove it to me. I saw her grinding and begging him to a private room. He came to me and I took my money that was a present and we left. I left and disappeared without a word. I was too broken by my best friend behaving like that I can't see her again.

My family still tell me i was wrong when I cry about the lost friendship. AITA for disappearing?
