Dating for about 5 months now (M24)(F22) and we haven’t really had any issues other little arguments around ways of communicating. I’m used to constant conversations/phone calls whereas she’s the opposite and i’m fine with that to a certain extent, not the end of the world.

Long story short, i’m away from town and she’s spent easter Sunday with her male gay best friend which is fine they met before i was in the picture, i trust her enough to respect certain boundaries but the issue here is last night it was radio silence from about 9pm till about 3am when she woke up in the middle of the night i guess and messaged saying she fell asleep early last night and will message me in the morning. Now i already assumed that anyway, she’s a sleepy girl, but this morning she messaged explaining that she had a bit to drink, didn’t want to drive home so stayed for the night.

Now my current dilemma is if someone fallen asleep they obviously can’t be on their phone however, the decision to stay over wasn’t on a whim so at what point was i going to find out? I’m not sure if i’m overreacting here but i guess it’s full circle back to how we communicate, is it unreasonable to want occasional updates?
