For context, my nephew is turning 12 April 23rd. I have never really had much of a relationship with him. He lives in Florida, I’m in NY. Never been too close to my sister. I’m not sure if my sister told my mom that it bothers her that I don’t buy my nephew birthday gifts and that’s why she’s saying this to me . I just don’t feel obligated to buy him anything for his birthday. My mom thinks I’m wrong.
