Posting for a friend who wants feedback

Recently a friend of mine (female) had a doctor's appointment and they decided to walk since the weather was nice (Late winter and temps in the mid to upper 40's) . The walk was just about 3.5 miles from their front door to the doctor and would take them about an hour and a half. Before leaving, they used the bathroom as they had no intentions of stopping.

As my friend is enjoying the walk through a residential area, the urge hit very badly. My friend has/had a family member close by and sent a text that they were on their way to see the doctor and needed to stop by and use the bathroom. My friend said they were at the house for less than 10 minutes and then back on their way.

A few days go by and my friend receives a text from that family member saying that privacy had been violated and that it made them uncomfortable. This family member also to my friend that they no longer want any sort of relationship with them because the won't/don't respect boundaries. I was told that the last time that they had been to the house was on Christmas to drop off gifts for a grandchild with permission and that was the last time that they had been there prior to the doctor

My friend told me that if there had been a convivence store close by that they would have gone there, but that the closest one was about a mile in the opposite direction.

My friend sent me screen shots of their health tracking app and gave me an idea on Google maps of where everything is located.

My friend wants to know if they're the asshole, nta, or both friend and family member the asshole

Also want to add, this is not the first time that this family member has gone NC, but that it will be the last time as far as my friend is concerned. I have also been told that this family member has a history with mental health issues too
