I signed a lease with A and C to move into a townhome and then C the day after signing refused to pay the deposit and eventually said he just didn't want to move forward with it. But I didn't want to be homeless so I told him not to worry and I moved in with A and later got S to join unofficially (not on the lease) and paying half of what we pay so it's a good deal. However now the place had a mold problem and structural issues so I planned to break the lease and move. Looking at new places I found a couple three bed I could afford but S then said he was leaving the country in two months. At the time S was doing me and A (my husband) a favor by staying in the bedroom as it made the place affordable after C ditched us but moving put me in the position of either renting an apartment I'm already paying more than a third for (he can't afford more) and then paying even more for when he moves out (which I can't afford). Or I could've rented a two bedroom. So I decided to rent a two bedroom and told him in advance he couldn't move with me because he couldn't afford more. Before I did I encouraged him to get an actual job (he makes music) and save but he consistently went out and never rly worked to get a good job that would've made it possible for him to afford his own place or a fair share of a place with me and A. He doesn't have anywhere to go and I feel bad but I can't be trapped in a lease that makes me homeless. He said I could've shared a bedroom with A (hubby) but I don't want to pay double what he pays and yet he is the one who gets his own room he can ditch in two months.
