okay so ever since the beginning of the semester this girl in my dorm building has had an issue with us (me and my suite mates being loud). every time she has complained it has been prior to quiet hours or when we’re not even home. and it seems like she’s home literally all the time because the second we make a little noise she complains and she has never once been respectful about it. we have never had our hall director or ra come, no one else complains not even her suite mates. when saying things in the building group chat she uses words like “big backs” and “elephants” to address us and calls out our room name. we hardly have people over and when we do we’re not loud, each time we can hear ourselves getting loud we tone it down. last night she said something again about us being loud, before quiet hours, so we left our dorm as to not bother others (although we were at a reasonable noise level). she then kept saying things in the group chat so i finally confronted her saying that we weren’t even home anymore, that we are always respectful and that if she has that much of an issue she can come upstairs to talk to us. i have replied to her before so she has my contact and my name that she can look up if she prefers to talk elsewhere. i was very fed up with it. she continued to basically act clueless saying she wouldn’t argue with a child (im 18 she’s 22) although she was the one being rude. she kept saying she was the adult in the situation but the only reason i spoke in the manner i did (somewhat childish and disrespectful although i remained mostly respectful—aside from calling her a bitch when she dmed me) is because she came at me and my suite mates in that way. i think im overthinking it but im so worried, i don’t like arguing with people and im afraid ill get in trouble for arguing in our building group chat.
