📝 AITAH for a stinky lunchbox?

I (37f) make lunch every night for my husband (45m) and daughter for school (we’re teachers). We were out for Spring break last week. Monday we had no students, so he goes to lunch with his team at his school and I go with my team from mine. Monday night I pulled his lunchbox out of his backpack and it smelled a little weird, but he didn’t say anything so I didn’t think anything of it. Put his sandwich wrapped in a napkin in there (he always has a sandwich with bread, cheese, and ham- no mustard, mayo or sauce of any kind). Did the same again yesterday (Tuesday night). It smelled weird, but I’m with second graders all day and am surrounded by teeth falling out, the occasional potty accident, and farting kids, I kind of can ignore weird smells. Tonight I go to pack his lunch and I’m really thinking, “man this is really yucky,” and ask him if I can skip using his normal lunchbox for a bag instead. He started jumping down my throat about, “How dare you send me with a smelly lunchbox, that’s so fucked up! I would never do that to you!” He then went to bed and came out of bed to fuss me out again… I grabbed my blankets and pillows off the bed and headed to the couch while mentioning that I’ve been making him lunch for years, and he’s never once done it for me. This whole thing is frustrating and in my mind something small compared to the really big reaction.
