I, 24f, have been dating my bf 27m, for a little over a year now. As long as we have known each other/been together he’s known about my weird quirks. Basic and most common- shoes off in my apt. He’s been coming over more recently (ie the longer we’ve dated) and it’s to the point where I feel like I shouldn’t have to remind him of my rules. He thinks I’m being unreasonable/have OCD or “control issues” that are making me a germaphobe. So he disregards them. He’s a great bf otherwise, he just thinks that my cleanliness habits are overdoing it. Rules: 1. Shoes off in house 2. No outside clothes on the bed - outside clothes are literally any clothes worn outside even if he left his apt got in an uber and came to my apt 3. No dirty socks on the bed (socks worn in shoes) 4. Use your own towel, toothbrush etc (we don’t share but another baseline) sharing toothpaste is ok lol 5. wash your hands even after you pee, 6. don’t mix clothes worn once with fresh clothes, 7. wash dog’s bowl before a new meal, 8. There are clean and dirty dish towels, 9. I don’t drink tap water 10. Close toilet seat before flush 11. Backpack not allowed on bed 12. Shower before getting in bed (after you come home)

I don’t know if this is alll normal or some are unreasonable asks.

Updated #5, I was trying to be more general, but like he’s one of the anti-handwashing (w soap) people; added to #9- “I” don’t drink tap water; he can drink it if he wants but I have a britta. Typo in #10.

This list is what came to mind off the top of my head but I don’t have an actual list written down, and I don’t want to sound like a nag and bring it up all the time so I wanted to know if I was actually being reasonable or overly crazy. He thinks that it’s a form of control over my environment when I can’t control things in my life, and he’s an outside variable in my living space that I can’t control so it throws me off.
