To preface, my boyfriend isn’t upset at me at all. I’m just genuinely curious if it was rude of me to do this. I was out and about with my girlfriend from college. Shes single and I am not. We ended up at a bar and these 2 men kept staring at us. Eventually they came over and started to chat. We’ll call them guy A and guy B. Guy A seemed interested in my friend and guy B seemed interested in me. Guy B initially kept it very basic when talking to me and asked for my name and what I was drinking. He then said all of my drinks would be on him. I just nodded and he walked away with his friend. They came back after about 10 minutes and asked what we would like to drink. We told them lemon drop shots and they came back with them. We’re in a college town and they both work at the college my friend and I graduated from. We talked about that and our careers before Guy B told me he was very interested and wanted my number to take me on a date. I politely declined and told him I had a boyfriend. He thought I was lying at first but I assured him that I was not lying. He didn’t seem bothered and told us to have a good night. Guy A stayed and invited us to a party he was hosting that weekend and got our social media profiles.

Was I wrong to accept his drink? Should I have told him I was taken beforehand? My boyfriend thinks he should’ve asked me if I was single before buying me a drink. What do y’all think?
