📝 AITAH For asking my (32M) husband to pay me (32F) interest on money I had to pull for him?

My father passed away in August of 2021 and my sisters and I inherited the estates he had. We didn’t like the city they were in and did not like the idea of playing landlord so we decided to sell them and split the proceeds equally. My husband is horrible at making any type of financial decisions and has, therefore, left him with $0.00 in savings and living paycheck to paycheck. I had money saved from my real estate job prior to inheriting the estates as we have a child together and I kept it for any type of emergencies. Fast forward a year, he still has no savings but our lease term was coming to an end and we decided to purchase a home to give our daughter solid grounding. As he had no money for a down payment, and we had to go FHA due to my husband’s lower credit score, we were asked to put down 20%. I hesitated but eventually decided that this was for the best interest of our child and put the money down.

Over the last half year in our new home, my husband has still been making bad financial decisions and my interest earned each month was reduced down by a few hundred due to pulling out so much money for our down payment. I decided to calculate exactly how much money I’ve been losing out on and so far it’s close to $2k, and will continue to increase with each passing month. It irritates me as this is a way to make passive income while I am a stay at home mom, who still pays for her own car and insurance and miscellaneous items I want or need.

Would I be the asshole if I asked my husband to pay me back for the interest I have been losing out on due to him not being able to put even a cent down for the down payment?
