📝 AITAH for asking my neighbor about drum playing at night?

I think my neighbor is angry with me. A few weeks ago her daughter was in their garage (about 50 ft from my bedroom) at 9 pm practicing drums.

I can hear it like any bass type sound and feel it in my chest. It's not super loud but it's loud enough I could hear it over my tv and space heater.

I also have ADHD and am super sensitive to certain sounds. I went into my living room but it didn't help.

I might add that I need to wake up pretty early and this was a Tuesday night.

City ordinance is quiet time is at 10 pm. But I texted my neighbor asking 930 pm and asked her, how long do you think child (17) is going to be on the drums?

Her reply was, "I don't know, it's not 10 pm yet"

I didn't reply to that. I know I can't deal with the sound and if I'm stressed it's so much worse. So, I packed up my dogs and went for a drive.

We had quite the adventure because I can't see well in the dark and got lost in an area I am not familiar with.

We got back home around 10:45 pm. All was quiet but I know she went past 10 pm because I could hear it on my security camera playback. Like she stopped a few minutes before we got back home.

I'm aware of the city ordinance and that is why I asked how long it was going to go on so I can plan to do something else to take care of myself.

I just think they are being rude. That kid sleeps all day, she doesn't go to School, she is supposedly home schooled, she is on the spectrum and she is spoiled.

I feel like she has no right to be upset since I didn't actually complain. I asked a question and she was offended. She could have said it'll stop at 10 pm.

We're friendly neighbors usually. Will help each other out with whatever. Watch each other's property. So I feel like she is avoiding me and possibly mad. She is very defensive of her child.

Anyway, AITAH for asking about the sun playing?
