I (20M) am a wheelchair user. I was injured in an ATV accident when I was 11 and have used one since.

Obviously this meant my parents focused a little more attention on me after that. My older sister (23F) has always resented me for it, or at least that’s the vibe I’ve gotten. We’ve never discussed it.

She’s planning her wedding right now. I was home from college for easter last weekend. On Saturday, her and her fiancé + our parents were going to look at a venue she loved photos of, so I tagged along. Upon arriving, we realized just how inaccessible it was. Lots and lots of stairs, with the accessibility options very few and very out of the way.

I said it would be hard for me to attend a wedding at a place like that. Our mom pretty immediately agreed and said they should probably keep looking since I would struggle to get around. My sister is incredibly angry now, saying I turned our mom against her dream venue and that she’s tired of everything revolving around me.
